just a quick note... undergroundzero at Performance Space 122 was MASSIVE, AMAZING, A BEAUTIFUL SHARED EXPERIENCE, I had a blast, I think we accomplished out goal for the festival of getting about 3/4 of the play out there into the universe "off book", throw in some blocking, and just have some fun. For me, BROKE WIDE OPEN is now truly ACTIVATED, with my amazing director Tamilla Woodard, we are full speed ahead to the full on production workshop at The Medicine Show Theatre, we'll run from Sept 9th thru the 26th, Thur-Sat at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm, check the website for all the details, and so here's where I'm at.. in this moment...... we are rolling, check back, I"ll be blogging each day, feel free to drop your thoughts here, I'd love to hear from you, let's do this together!!!!
aight, I'm out for the day

Rock!

Broke Wide Open was inspiring. One of the most creative collections of performance concepts I've seen. It was as if I was in a live music video, and at other times as if I was watching a conventional play. What's amazing is that you're telling this story (your story) fusing so many different art-forms: music, singing, poetry, acting, beat boxing, etc. It's groundbreaking because you normally only get to see a story told through one or a couple of art forms, whereas you've found a way to combine so many, and in a cohesive, relatable and emotionally true manner.
